Description:
A national day or mourning was called for October 20, 2010 to remember the ten young LGBT people who had recently committed suicide due to anti-gay bullying. "Spirit Day" was called to bring attention to this plague of suicides and all members of the LGBT community, nationwide, were encouraged to wear purple.
